With the release of Star Wars The Old Republic just under two weeks away, or next week for everyone that pre-ordered, we have setup a division forum for The Old Republic for everyone here that is interested in or is going to be playing The Old Republic. Like the rest of our division forums, access to this can be granted to this section upon request.
No doubt in the coming months there will be plenty to talk about in regards to The Old Republic, so it is perhaps better that we have this section than just the one thread. Unlike our Star Trek Online division however, we have no plans to setup our own Guild once the game goes live. We found with Star Trek Online that while doing so was fun, it served to disadvantage us because we're not always playing at the same times and as such group content became hard or impossible to play with PuGs (Pickup Groups).
With this in mind, some of us have elected to join the EU PC Gamer Community on their adventures in The Old Republic - although they are not aware of our existing community here. These guys have experience running large scale Guild operations across a variety of other games in the genre and so should provide a friendly and experienced environment for us to enjoy the game.

Note that the Mint Imperials is currently full, hopefully spaces will open up at launch when members whom did not pre-order will be dropped. Additionally, the Guild Launch program was locked down on December 2nd in preparation for server deployment in time for Early Access. While the Revel Alliance is no where near full, applications can no longer be accepted via the website and will have to be made in game come launch.
In the spirit of our own community however, we will of course be setting up a private chat channel within The Old Republic so that we may have conversations to ourselves. Once the game goes live and the channel has been created, details of this will be posted within the division forums.
